5. Goals must have a time-line, from the starting point to the completion date or time especially if this is related to work. Specific deadlines are important so that goals cannot be overtaken by the daily activities and the things we want to do in life. You can ask your employees for suggestions what bonuses they would like to receive and pick one or two to offer them on the next month.

There are lots of ideas for bonuses that would increase the employee’s moral. No need to spend a lot of money to keep employees motivated but what is needed is creativity.

Despite of Typhoon Ondoy that took 240+ lives, the Philippines Business Process Association Director said no major damage occurred to any BPO industry except for the absent employees due to floods.

Most employees coming from affected area like Marikina, Rizal and Pasig was not able to come to office prompting Call Center managers to move the client to another location.

In Manila most of my games are basketball and volleyball. Our company organized only 2 type of team sports based on our employees population. Yet i managed to play basketball frequently since our house in Manila is just a walk away from the court. My badminton skills started when i was college. I got the award as beginner in double category.

Being a son of farmer, i have an athletic body during my younger years. So my speed is good and my smashing power is amazing. Now at the age of 35 I felt the slow down of my smashing power and energy. Yet i still to manage the level D.

Working 5 days in a week from one of the BPO company in Cebu, my favorite game now as well as my friends is badminton. I am now a member of Minglanilla Badminton Club and we usually play every Saturday and Sunday in Minglanilla and Naga City. So when ever i am free with my Philippines Call Center Works, you can find me somewhere in badminton court.You will find that most of the call center company in Cebu also organize badminton tournaments.

The opening of this year seams lucky for me and my family because i was able to but bike for my KC and mountain bike for my wife.

Hope this bike could help her reduce some weight, waist line that increase more than my expectation after giving me 2 cute children ha ha ha..

But hey, this bike is now 3. The latest addition is for 3 years old baby who can travel with his bike at 5km per hour. Biking is a great health saver for me now. This is the fastest way i can reduce fats and save more from doctors fee. This could also be good suggestion for a team building activity. Imagine when you combine sports, health saving activity, team building task in one activity. That would surely be rewarding.

The following are Philosophical highlights concluded by a lawyer after listening to John Maxwell Leadership Summit

I learned that it was a very fortunate hand that allowed me to join company delegation of ten managers at the City Sports Club last June 10, 2008 to attend the John Maxwell Leadership Summit. I learned that that was the day of reckoning if I could be the leader I wanted to become.

After hearing the introductory speeches and Dulce belting out a show stopping Lupang Hinirang, I learned that it was awesome to simply stand in the presence of John Maxwell, never mind that he was not there in the flesh but only on broadcast- live miles away from Shangrila Hotel in Makati.

I learned that John Maxwell is John Maxwell, larger than life, author of a multitude of leadership books – truly worthy to be called “the leadership guru” who can trump all other leadership advocates of this generation and the next. I learned that the seminar provided to be a true educational, inspiring experience leaving me speechless at times.

I learned that if it was John Maxwell speaking, I could be glued to my seat for all I care and strapped to it without even so much as blinking just as long as the following golden nuggets stay with me for a lifetime:

Success is knowing my purpose in life. Know your purpose in life through your passion and giftedness.
